Two safety car phases and gripping overtaking action: The first race at the Moscow Raceway was a real thriller – for fans and drivers. After a hard-fought battle, Marco Wittmann crossed the finish line in second place behind winner Pascal Wehrlein.


After a four-week summer break, the DTM returned to action in Moscow. From 28th to 30th August, DTM champion Marco Wittmann took on the Moscow Raceway.


After 24 degrees and sunshine on Saturday, the second race at the Red Bull Ring was dominated by heavy rain. Torrential rain began to fall in the early hours of the morning, transforming the track into an ice rink, on which Marco Wittmann battled to twelfth place.


Super start – but braking problems. Marco Wittmann showed great fighting spirit in race one in Spielberg, finishing ninth to score valuable points after 40 minutes of racing.


Mountains are there to be climbed: last season, Marco Wittmann went one better than his second-place finish at the 2013 DTM race. He took his place on the top step of the podium as BMW claimed a top-four shut-out at the picturesque Red Bull Ring.
